VENOM 808s Pack
Every modern producer knows the feeling. You’ve laid down a sinister melody, your hi-hats are rolling perfectly, and the snare cuts right through the mix. But when it comes time to drop the bass, something feels completely empty. Regular sub-bass samples either get lost in the low-end mud or lack the aggressive bite needed to rattle car trunks and dominate club sound systems. If your low-end sounds sterile, weak, or completely uninspired, it’s time for a severe upgrade.
Welcome to the dark side of low-end sound design. We are incredibly excited to introduce VENOM 808s, a premium collection of earth-shattering, face-melting 808 samples engineered specifically for producers who refuse to blend into the background. Whether you are crafting heavy Trap, aggressive Drill, Dark Phonk, or experimental Hip-Hop, this pack was built to inject pure kinetic energy, heavy distortion, and deep harmonic richness directly into your DAW playlist.

VENOM isn’t just a collection of standard sine waves turned up loud. It’s an elite armory of heavily processed, harmonically complex, and meticulously tuned bass weapons designed to slice through complex mixes with terrifying authority.
Anatomy of the VENOM 808s Pack
The vision behind VENOM was simple yet demanding: to create a definitive set of 808s in which every single file is 100% usable, distinct, and instantly inspiring. Too many drum kits on the market are packed with recycled files, filler sounds, or bloated folders that slow down your creative workflow. VENOM eliminates the fluff entirely. Inside, you will find a curated selection of elite, high-definition 808 samples, each bringing its own unique sonic character, distortion curve, and transient punch to the table.

From clean, deep sub-basses that provide a foundational rumble, to heavily distorted, overdriven beasts that roar through upper-mid frequencies, this pack covers the full spectrum of modern bass architecture. As you can see directly from our layout, every single wave has been sculpted with precision, optimizing sustain lengths, managing decay tails, and sharpening the initial transient knock so your bass punches through without needing piles of extra compression plugins.
Why These 808s Are Different
- Pre-Tuned and Instantly Key-Labeled: There is nothing worse than finding the perfect bass sound only to realize it's out of key with your melody, forcing you to waste time pitching it up and down blindly. Every sample inside the VENOM pack is perfectly tuned to C (or accurately key-labeled), allowing you to drop them straight into your sampler, map them across your keyboard, and start playing instantly without breaking your creative flow state.
- Surgical Transient Design (The "Knock"): An 808 needs more than just low-end rumble; it needs an initial punch to register on smaller speakers like phones and laptops. We spent hours dialing in the initial "click" and transient knock of these samples. They cut through heavy drum layers perfectly, ensuring your listeners feel the impact of the note the millisecond it hits.
- Aggressive Harmonic Saturation: To survive in modern streaming environments, your bass needs harmonics. Using top-tier analog hardware emulators, tube distortion, and custom wave-shaping techniques, we’ve injected these 808s with mid-range grit. This keeps the bass fully audible and aggressive even on cheap earbuds, while retaining a massive, clean sub-bass foundation that slams on professional club systems.
- Perfect Lengths and Natural Decays: A major pitfall in sample packs is bad editing clicks at the end of loops or unnatural cuts. The samples in VENOM feature smooth, linear fades and optimized sustain phases. Whether you need a short, bouncy 808 for a fast-paced Trap beat or a long, sustaining glide for an epic Drill slide section, you have total control over the decay shape.

How to Mix and Maximize VENOM in Your DAW
While these samples come pre-processed to sound incredible right out of the box, understanding how to place them in your mix will elevate your production to a professional standard. Here are a few essential tips for getting the most out of VENOM:
- Sidechaining Your Kick: Because the VENOM 808s already possess a powerful initial punch, you may not always need a heavy kick drum layered on top. However, if you do layer a kick, make sure to apply a fast, subtle sidechain compression to the 808. Ducking the 808's volume by just 2 to 3 dB for a fraction of a second when the kick hits creates immense headroom, letting both elements hit with maximum clarity.
- Cut the Extreme Lows: It sounds counterintuitive, but using a high-pass filter to roll off everything below 20Hz to 25Hz can dramatically improve your mix. Human ears can’t hear these sub-sonic frequencies, but they eat up immense headroom in your master channel. Cleaning up this ultra-low mud allows you to push the overall volume of your track much louder without distorting your limiter.
- Embrace the Monophonic Glide: Always ensure your sampler is set to Mono and Cut Itself is enabled (if you are working in FL Studio). This prevents the long decay tails of your 808s from overlapping and creating a dissonant, muddy mess when switching notes. If you're producing Drill or Phonk, experiment with portamento/glide settings to create those signature sliding basslines that give modern beats their dark, fluid momentum.
